Making Open Data Real consultation - summary of responses

英國政府於20118~10月以如何讓政府能夠 "best embed a culture of openness and transparency in our public services"為題向企業、政府組織與慈善團體諮詢,得到500份回應,並於2012.3.1發表其回應摘要

  • 藥廠巨人AstraZeneca也持正向意見,open data可提早在medicine lifecycle之前,讓該廠藥物相關安全、藥效、建康等議題被提出與回答: "ask more complex questions around [the] safety, effectiveness and health outcomes of our medicines, [and] enable these questions to be answered earlier in a medicines lifecycle."
"value to be gained from releasing data openly is much greater in economic and social terms than the revenue to be gained from charging for data".
